Hand-Finished in the United States

A Dwellingham watch is more than assembled. Every timepiece goes through hand-finishing and polishing in the United States before it reaches the customer. This final process helps refine the look, feel, and presentation of each watch: down to the engraved monogram on every crown.

904L Stainless Steel

Every Dwellingham watch case and bracelet is crafted from 904L stainless steel: a premium-grade steel valued for its strength, corrosion resistance, and lasting durability. The caseback carries the Dwellingham Watch Company engraving, a mark that travels with the watch for life.

The Finishing Room

What happens after the watch is built.

Most watches leave the factory and go straight into a box. Ours take a detour.

Every Dwellingham comes across our bench before it ever comes near a customer. We work the case, the clasp, and the bracelet by hand: down the corners of the lugs, along the underside of the clasp, inside every single link. We are chasing the small stuff, the edges you would never notice in a photograph but your wrist finds in about ten minutes.

Then the watch takes a bath. Each finished piece is soaked in our own blend of mineral oils, which draws out the fine metal dust and manufacturing residue that hides in the seams of stainless steel. It is the grit you never see and always feel. What comes out is cleaner, smoother, and quieter against the skin.

None of this shows up on a spec sheet. It shows up on the fourteenth hour of wearing it.

Step One

Worked by hand

Case, clasp, and bracelet are shaped and smoothed by hand until no edge catches and nothing bites.

Step Two

The oil bath

A soak in our own mineral oil blend lifts out the fine debris left behind in the steel during manufacturing.

Step Three

Polished and inspected

Every surface is polished and reviewed by eye before the watch is boxed and sent out.

The case, bracelet, clasp, and visible surfaces are reviewed for finish quality, polish, and overall appearance. This attention to detail helps each watch feel more personal, more refined, and worthy of the legacy it represents.

Inside each Dwellingham watch is a movement selected for the role of that model. The Apollo uses an automatic GMT movement, the Cotton Club, Blue Note, and Rose Note use high-beat automatic architectures, and the Sugar Shack uses a mechaquartz chronograph movement.

This model-specific approach allows each timepiece to deliver the function it was designed for, from second-time-zone tracking to dive timing and crisp chronograph control.

A true timepiece should not be disposable. Dwellingham favors established movement architectures that professional watchmakers can inspect, regulate, and service over time.

The choice of 904L stainless steel reflects our belief that a timepiece should not feel temporary. It should have the strength to move through everyday life while maintaining the presence and finish expected from a watch built with legacy in mind.
